Fixed frame windows also referred to as picture windows are windows that are non-venting or inoperable.
Fixed windows can be made with any frame type to configure with the operable windows. Fixed windows when paired on top of operable windows are referred to as 'TRANSOMS' or beside a window or door in which case they are called 'SIDE-LITES.
