Series 6000 Awning Windows
The main difference between the 6000 Series awning window and the 1500 series Awning is the method of operation.
The 6000 series awning uses a friction hinge to manually 'push out' instead of a mechanical winder that the 1500 series uses. Also the 6000 series does not come with insect mesh. These limitations makes the 6000 series a more economical window and is more suited to the homeowner who prefers a simpler style of awning window with less complicated mechanisms.
One of the advantages of the 6000 series awning is that it is available in a structural frame, casement/ louver combination with the 6000 series louver . A structural window frame is a frame where the individual panels are not 'coupled' or 'mulled' together but all the panels are in one frame.
